My Martial Arts Journey

My name is Vicmar Coliflores and my journey into Martial Arts (Tae Kwon Do, Hapkido, and Yudo) began on October 31, 1981 in the city of Artesia, CA at the Oriental Moo Do School under the late Grand Master Chan Yong Kim, 9th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.  Under his Guidance, Discipline, and commitment to his OMS students, I earned my highest rank of 5th Dan Black Belt.  I taught for several years at the Oriental Moo Do School in Artesia then the studio relocated to the city of Cerritos where I continued to teach until I left to pursue a teaching position at Cerritos College (2006 - 2020).  I am currently teaching at St Barnabas Catholic School in Long Beach (TK thru 8th grade).  In addition to my Martial Arts background, I have earned my Masters Degree from Azusa Pacific University in Physical Education, Bachelors Degree from California State Long Beach in Kinesiology, ACE Certified Personal Trainer & Group Exercise Instructor, and TRX Certified Suspension Trainer.
